HOLY CRAP! The 16th of March 2022 I'll turn 39 years old!*
* though this list is perfectly usable for any other occassion too.
"Do you have a wish list?"
I'm glad you asked!
Feeling digital?
- Steam
- By all means, filter by current deals or game bargains.
- Nintendo eShop gift cards
- Because some times I just can't make up my mind and neither can you.
- Bandcamp gift cards
- I've got like a stack of music wishlisted that I'd like to get and support artists directly. Some pocket money toward this goal is most definitely welcome!
Feeling analog?
- The
Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya (Special Edition)
- Though I have the regular edition of this novel, my collection of all the previous novels are of the single-colored cover variants of this series. Yen Press made this latest variant a Special Edition and because I was unaware of this I had just missed out on their EU order-window. As such, this grey-only cover has become a bit of a holy grail for me!
- (micro) SD / SDHC / SDXC memory cards
- I use these just about everywhere: FPGA boards, Raspberry PIs, handheld devices, Flash cartridges. So yes, you would totally do me a solid with any cards you can spare. Even if they're in used-condition or are only a few dozen megabytes or gigs in size!
- Compact Flash or CF-SD adapters are also very welcome.
- Upright
dustpan and brush
- I'm getting older and my back ain't as spry and bendy as it used to be. I've been using an upright dustpan upstairs and one more downstairs, ready and in reach, would be so helpful!
- Don Papa rum (7 years/10 years/Masskara/Baroko/Sherry Cask/Rye
Aged/Sevillana/???)
- I'm not only saying this because it is a Filipino product, but this rum is quite good. Oh, alright I do have a slight preference because of its background as well but it's really quite good!
- Other recommendations will also be fondly accepted! I'll be curious to learn what's tickling your palette.
- USB
floppy disk drive (UFI compatible)
- Do people even remember what floppies were? Well, I do. And I've even got some kit that lets me use modern style USB floppy drives on older computers. I am just lacking... the floppy drive.
- MSX games or software
- This could be slightly more difficult to pull off, but hear me out! Visit a place like Marktplaats or any kind of retro store, find me some MSX computer stuff or games on cassette, floppy or cartridge, and not only will I send you my love but you'll provide me with content to stream and I'll dedicate some time on-air to whatever the item ends up being during a special birthday-stream! How's that for a hard to resist bargain?
- Trunks or socks
- Which outstanding gentleman doesn't like his nibs and bits well packaged? I'd like to keep mine warm and socks and underwear help immensely! I prefer trunks over briefs and I'm a size XL when it comes to undies whereas I prefer sizes 43-46 for socks. Dryer-safe is a plus but not required. I've linked to a fairly well-known store as an example of what I've had good experiences with in the past.
- Hawaiian shirt(s)
- It's not a fashion statement, or anything. I just found they suit me well, especially with warmer days up ahead. If it's a gimmick print or something nerdy, that's totally cool. But I'm just as good with the classics! I'm an XL-ent size and compatible with most colors.
- Musical instrument(s)
- Would I call myself musically inclined? Perhaps. Could you make my day with any gag-, gift-, or beginner-instruments? Yes, you can definitely! Here are some suggestions:
- Anker
Aluminium USB 3.0 4-poorts hub
- It is hard to find good USB hubs where the ports are upright and spaced apart from each other. I have some thick USB connectors and sticks, so they need some space.
- Bookends
(boekensteunen)
- Something to keep the books upright. As Marie Kondo claims, the things you love prefer to be stored upright. And I would love to do that for my books.
- Nintendo Switch games
- Someone asked me if they couldn't just buy me a video game instead. So here are some titles, that would cheer me up and shouldn't break the bank:
- Keychron
87-keys low profile red switch mechanical keyboard (price
tracker)
- In the past year, I have paid attention to proper mouse usage and I should now do the same with keyboards. I am however not at all familiar with this market and the options. But this one at least looks nice?
- Xiaomi Mi
Smart Band 6
- It's like a watch, but more an entry-level tracking device to monitor things like heart rate and count steps. I have gotten tired of having to count steps myself, so it'd be nice if a device could take care of that for me. Joking aside, this could be pretty much any watch or fitness band as long as it has Google Fit integration. That's the key feature I'm looking for!
- Albums by Ed Starink
- Though more known for his contributions as the famous composer for the Synthesizer Greatest CD series from Arcade (as Star Inc.), this Dutch composer also made some original compositions which he then collected on standalone releases. Even on a second hand basis (Marktplaats, etc.), I'd very much appreciate getting these if just for nostalgic reasons.
- Storage solutions from IKEA
- There are several things from IKEA that I could make good use of. I'm a big fan of their various storage solutions, and a few particular ones are very walcome!
- OMAR storage rack with plank
- OMAR storage rack metal plank
- OMAR rack (small)
- SAMLA storage boxes with lid (medium sized or half heights are preferred)
- LURVIG cat scratch mats
- Loonacy
- I'm still a fan of Looney Labs and all things Fluxx. So you can always cheer me up with one of their products, like Loonacy. Their board games should be readily available online or at your "Friendly Local Game Store".
- Set
of hand graters
- I keep on wanting some, as it seems a lot more practical when it comes to cleaning. But I just never get around to finding some nice ones. The ones linked are just for example purposes, but the general idea should be the same. Just looking for a versatile set, preferably dishwasher safe!
- Durian
- Man, I could really go for some durian right now...
Cockroach Poker(Royal) / Kakkerlakkenpoker (Royale)- A fun little game, of which you are most likely to find the Dutch version in local shops. So that is perfectly acceptable too!
- IKEA BĂ„STIS lint
roller refill
- Look, I really love my cats but there's like hair everywhere! So having a whole bunch of these lint rollers around is really handy and I could always use more.
- One of those sticky rollers that you can wash would be good too!
- Bissell Pet Hair Eraser dust buster
- I've got pets. They've got hair. Lint rollers help with clothes and the vacuum is working overtime. I have been eyeing something inbetween, like a dust buster, to help with the day-to-day cleaning up. These products have gotten good reviews, in regard to their motorized brushes. But I'm hoping to use a device like this not just for furniture but desks and stray litter as well.
- Scented candles
- Cordless
screwdriver
- Earlier this year I broke my one good screwdriver. And that was still a good old fashioned manual model. May as well get a motorized replacement for it. Is this one any good for the price?
