HOLY CRAP! The 16th of March 2025 I'll turn 42 years old!*
* though this list is perfectly usable for any other occassion too.

"Do you have a wish list?"
I'm glad you asked!
Feeling digital?
- Steam
- By all means, filter by current deals or game bargains.
- Nintendo eShop gift cards
- Because some times I just can't make up my mind and neither can you.
- Bandcamp gift cards
- I've got like a stack of music wishlisted that I'd like to get and support artists directly. Some pocket money toward this goal is most definitely welcome!
Feeling analog?
- The
Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya (Special Edition)
- Though I have the regular edition of this novel, my collection of all the previous novels are of the single-colored cover variants of this series. Yen Press made this latest variant a Special Edition and because I was unaware of this I had just missed out on their EU order-window. As such, this grey-only cover has become a bit of a holy grail for me!
- MSX games or software
- This could be slightly more difficult to pull off, but hear me out! Visit a place like Marktplaats or any kind of retro store, find me some MSX computer stuff or games on cassette, floppy or cartridge, and not only will I send you my love but you'll provide me with content to stream and I'll dedicate some time on-air to whatever the item ends up being during a special birthday-stream! How's that for a hard to resist bargain?
- 8BitDo M30 2.4g controller
- For use with Mega Drive/Genesis consoles, Mega SG, and on my MSX computers (via adapters).
- As these controllers get less widely available, I've listed some outlets below which still stocked this item at the time of writing.
- Record player accessories
- My cobbled together set up of inherited and thrifted equipment is coming together nicely. All it now needs are some connecting components.
- Behringer PP400 phono preamp
- the sssnake SRR2050 5m RCA cable
- Nintendo Switch games
- Someone asked me if they couldn't just buy me a video game. So here is a shortlist of titles which you can get new for relatively cheap:
- You can of course also get these second hand or in used-condition, from a site like Marktplaats!
- Storage solutions from IKEA
- There are several things from IKEA that I could make good use of. I'm a big fan of their various storage solutions, and a few particular ones are very walcome!
- SAMLA storage boxes with lid (medium sized or half heights are preferred)
- GNEDBY cd / dvd storage (no preferences for color, but you can often find these in good condition way cheaper secondhand at places like Marktplaats)
- KALLAX 2x2 with bottom frame (to lift it off of the floor - also I could use some help getting rid of some furniture pieces to make space for this)
- Albums by Ed Starink
- Though more known for his contributions as the arranger for the internationally acclaimed Synthesizer Greatest CD series from Arcade (as Star Inc., The Andromeda Project, or the London Starlight Orchestra), this Dutch composer also made original compositions which he then collected on standalone releases. Even on a second hand basis (Marktplaats, Discogs, etc.), I'd very much appreciate getting these if just for nostalgic reasons.
- Miscellaneous media
- Various releases by multiple creators where I'll be very specific, to help you avoid gifting
me any doubles, as you may be aware I like these artists but I also already have a reasonably
sized collection of their work.
- Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells 50th Anniversary Tour (Blu-ray)
- Discovering Beardfish (box set - but don't pay scalpers' prices as it was a cheap release)
- Images - The Best of Jean-Michel Jarre (CD - 1997 remastered release with track 17 being "Blah Blah Cafe") (Discogs)
- Neuronium & Vangelis - In London Platinum Edition (Discogs) (bol.com)
- Albums by Blossom Dearie (I've got several compilations but would love to also own her individual albums)
- You can of course also get these second hand or in used-condition, from a site like Marktplaats!
- Various releases by multiple creators where I'll be very specific, to help you avoid gifting
me any doubles, as you may be aware I like these artists but I also already have a reasonably
sized collection of their work.
- HDMI Switch (5 ports)
- I would rather no longer link to Amazon, but it's one of the few places these particular models are being sold. For reasonable prices, compared to other vendors! However, I would be open to other brands and sellers, since the only things that are important to me are: amount of ports (5 minimum), and that the remote uses common battery types like AA or AAA.
- Trunks or socks
- Which outstanding gentleman doesn't like his nibs and bits well packaged? I'd like to keep mine warm and socks and underwear help immensely! I prefer trunks over briefs and I'm a size XL when it comes to undies whereas I prefer sizes 43-46 for socks. Dryer-safe is a plus but not required.
- Hawaiian shirt(s)
- It's not a fashion statement, or anything. I just found they suit me well, especially with warmer days up ahead. If it's a gimmick print or something nerdy, that's totally cool. But I'm just as good with the classics! Friends have given me several shirts from Ky's Hawaiian Shirts over the years and I've had very good experiences with the form and fit of those, though I would recommend shopping closer to home like with this particular seller on bol.com. I'm an XL-ent size and compatible with most colors.
- (micro) SD / SDHC / SDXC memory cards
- I use these just about everywhere: FPGA boards, Raspberry PIs, handheld devices, Flash cartridges. So yes, you would totally do me a solid with any cards you can spare. Even if they're in used-condition or are only a few dozen megabytes or gigs in size!
- Compact Flash or CF-SD adapters are also very welcome.
- Don Papa rum (7 years/10 years/Masskara/Baroko/Rare Cask/Sherry
Cask/Rye
Cask/Port Cask/Sevillana/Gayuma/???)
- I'm not only saying this because it is a Filipino product, but this rum is quite good. Oh, alright I do have a slight preference because of its background as well but it's really quite good!
- Other recommendations will also be fondly accepted! I'll be curious to learn what's tickling your palette.
- Durian
- Man, I could really go for some durian right now...
- Bookends
(boekensteunen)
- Something to keep the books upright. As Marie Kondo claims, the things you love prefer to be stored in an upright position. And I would love to do that for my books.
- IKEA BĂ„STIS lint
roller refill
- Look, I really love my cats but there's like hair everywhere! So having a whole bunch of these lint rollers around is really handy and I could always use more.
- One of those sticky rollers that you can wash would be good too!
